IT'S ALL ABOUT THE TURKEY RIGHT???

Every year, families across America enjoy a traditional turkey dinner as a part of their Thanksgiving celebrations. But how much do we really know about the quirky birds that serve as the centerpiece of our festive meal?
From the silly sounds they make (spoiler alert: they do more than just gobble) to their impressive hearing, there are plenty of amazing turkey facts that are sure to impress.
HERE ARE A FEW FACTS ABOUT OUR WONDERFUL TURKEY
1. Only male turkeys gobble/Female turkeys don't gobble, but they do purr.
2. Wild turkeys can fly/Male turkeys are called toms or gobblers.
3. An adult turkey has around 5,000 to 6,000 feathers./Wild turkeys sleep in trees.
4. They can change colors.
5. Their poop determines if they are male or female.
6. Turkeys almost went extinct twice.
7. Turkeys can see better than humans. Turkeys hear certain sounds better than humans.
8. Turkeys once wore booties while being walked to the market.
9. Turkey snoods are for mating.
10. 46 million turkeys are killed each year for Thanksgiving.
11. Turkeys were named after the "Turkish" area despite being from North America.
12. Turkey beards grow three to five inches per year.
13. Turkeys can and will attack humans.
14. Store-bought turkeys can't fly/Wild turkeys, however, can soar for over a mile.
15. Turkeys can run 12 miles per hour.
